This is the story of a its who returns to his mother after traveling the world. He Saw Nothing, Understood Nothing. Did he even open his eyes? He is not welcome, and his mother sends him back to grow up Elsewhere. Enlisting in a war, he climbs the ranks of power one by one and returns to invade his mother’s home, bringing with him all the absurdities of the world, its horrors, its Madness, which gradually erode his mother’s impenetrable shell…
Accompanied by Guillaume Hunout on piano, Pierre Tual linked as much on actors as on Puppets for this creation. These rod and string puppets reveal the son and mother at different stages of their story, their evolution accentuated by the interplay of scale. Pierre Tual Once again explores the complexities of humanity, its struggle to exist in the world and find its place within the family and society. In Naive, cruel, yet humorous tale.
